Austin Rivers, a floundering NBA D-Leaguer disguised an NBA point guard, absolutely went off last night in a 119-117 loss to the Thunder.
With Daddy watching, Austin shot 12-19 and finished with 32 points, a career high. If you are a fan of floppy, unstable dribbling and horrible tunnel vision, be happy, because that game just justified whatever shit show Father-Son project Doc is throwing together for the next five years.
Here is a press conference that will happen two years from now:
Reporter: Doc, you’re son is a back up point guard averaging .7 assists per game. He is a defensive liability and he shoots the ball like it’s a hot potato. Why is he still on your team?
Doc: WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT BOB THAT BOY JUST DROPPED 32 ON THE THUNDER WHAT YEAR IS THIS HOW OLD IS BLAKE CHRIS PAUL IS STILL THE BEST POINT GUARD BOB SHUT UP MY SON IS A TOP 50 PLAYER IN THIS LEAGUE
If you are not a fan of floppy, unstable dribbling and horrible tunnel vision, like the rest of the civilized world, be prepared to never hear the end of this game.
I think Blake put it best.
Still funny. And accurate. I bet this wasn’t supposed to be seen. Then again, neither was Blake’s haymaker. The Clippers are a big beautiful mess.
