Report: PHI-ATL Discussing Trade Involing Jeff Teague, Nerl…Ah Screw it, Who The Hell Cares

The Goddamn NBA Finals are about to start and these two floating franchises are trying to distract us with this nonsense.

OK, fine. Here are the details, via Shams Charania of the The Vertical:

The sides have discussed the deal recently, but an agreement isn’t imminent, sources said.
For Philadelphia, there has been strong interest over the past year in acquiring a high-end starting point guard. The 76ers have the No. 1 overall pick in the June 23 NBA draft and will likely select Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram, but have a glut of talent in the frontcourt, including Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid and potentially Dario Saric.

Jeff Teague: High end point guard (?!?!?!?!)

Jeff Teague: Decent point guard.

That’s better.

From the Hawks point of view, this would actually be a solid trade. They seem to think Dennis Schroder is the point guard of the future, and Noel would be a great plug if/when Al Horford darts in free agency.
